Our commitment is to improve the world around us.  Here's how we help.

Red Day (Renew, Energize and Donate) www.kw.com/kw/redday is an initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams Realty’s year-round commitment to improving our local communities. Each year, on the second Thursday in May, we devote our time to renewing and energizing aspects of the neighborhoods in which we serve. From painting Village signs and preparing public gardens, we are devoted to bringing this community closer together through acts of service.

KW CARES www.kwcares.org is a 501c3 public charity funded by Keller Williams associates. The charity provides emergency financial assistance to members of the world-wide KW family in need due to sudden emergencies and other charities. KW Cares is at the heart of Keller Williams Culture in action – finding and serving a higher purpose of business through charitable giving in the offices and communities where Keller Williams associated live and work.  Keller Williams Angel Fire Realtors donate a percentage of our commissions to KW CARES.

SHUTER LIBRARY www.shuterlibrary.net Keller Williams Angel Fire is a major sponsor of Shuter Library donating $1,000 each year and supporting fundraising events with additional donations of money, time and auction items. Johnese Turri serves on the Fundraising Committee.  Angel Fire Community Library was started in 1978 in a back room of the Angel Fire Country Club by seven devoted ladies. Over the next few years determined community members did extensive planning and fund-raising. Angel Fire Resort donated the land to build the library and Shuter Construction built the library at cost. Countless volunteers donated time, energy and money into getting the new library up and running. In July 2002, the brand new 3,000 square foot Shuter Library opened to the public.

Today, Shuter Library is an independent, incorporated and registered 501(c)(3) organization. Shuter Library is a private library, meaning it is not funded through municipal taxes. Instead, most of the revenues come from donations, volunteer fund-raising efforts, and fees charged to patrons for some services. We are open to the public and our basic services are still free of charge, including children's books and limited usage of computers.  Shuter Library receives steady use by some 2,500 year-round and seasonal patrons --a remarkable usage since Angel Fire only has about 1,200 full-time residents. Shuter Library was rated second in the country for its budget class, receiving the highest five star award from The Library Journal. We serve over 22,000 visitors per year. We do all this at considerably less cost per capita than nearby municipal libraries.
